My visit to LaplandUK

What and amazing day full of treats and surprises. I was expecting a magical experience but this totally blew me out of the water and really got me ready for Christmas. Some of you may have seen our day and snippets of it on Snapchat. Here are the rest of the details.

Upon arrival you enter a beautiful tent with lots of Christmas decoration and a small coffee shop serving drinks and snacks. You wait until your allocated time on the ticket and an elf comes and takes you through to a mini stage performance.

After this the doors open and if you experience the magic straight away. Everything is white and pristine as if you have entered Narnia.

First we were taken to the elves workshop and here we help to make a reindeer toy. Expect lots of drama and great character building in your surroundings.  Everyone really enjoyed the experience and got involved with participation. The children seemed to love it.

We were then led down another passway and again enjoyed the magical surroundings.

We got to see Mrs Christmas and her helper elves. Here we helped decorate a gingerbread house with icing and sweet treats. Unlike the reindeer we were able to keep the biscuit and save this for later. There was lots of storytelling and photo opportunities.

After this we had an hour and a half in the elf village. Here there was a main seated restaurant and another food stand to get food from. We had the fish finger sandwiches and off we went to explore the village. The main part is the iceskating rink for grown-ups and children. There is a huge gift shop full of toys for children and several different types of Christmas decorations.

Post a letter to Santa or visit pixie’s sweet shop. There are people walking around with beautiful animals that you can have a play with.

We then headed off to see Santa and walked past reindeers and Santas sleigh. You can’t take photos inside Santas house but you do get a lovely treat a personalised chat with Santa and a photo which you can buy after.

We loved the whole day from the beginning to the end.  When we entered Lapland we were guided towards the parking and everything was signposted in detail. There were plenty of rest rooms and helpers on hand. It was very much geared for children four years and upwards however people did have their babies and toddlers too. Overall it’s such a unique and magical experience that you will cherish as a family. I would definitely recommend it
